Public transport, a push to mobility Taking into consideration the economic development of Romania during the years after 1989 and the expansion of urban area, the discussions and the projects that gravitate round the idea of public transport are complex, with many references to the concepts of urban and territorial organisation, environment protection, mobility support in case of passengers and freight, technical conditions regarding infrastructure and transport constructions, or design of rolling stock. This is why Club Feroviar conference, dedicated to urban and suburban transport, supposes a polyvalent structure of the speech. The conference develops during two days (Thursday, April 26th 2007, starting with 12.00 and Friday, April 27th 2007, starting with 10.00) in a place favourable to business meetings in Piatra Mare Hotel, Poiana Braşov. Participants at the conference... are politicians working for central and local administration, specialists in urban and suburban transport organisation, academicians and researchers in the domain, providers of solutions and services. For assuring the fluidity of the speech and the fact that is understood by foreign specialists, the conference will be simultaneously translated in Romanian and English. |
